Course Description

This course provides an update on the DSM-5 for practicing clinicians who have a working knowledge of the DSM-IV-TR. Dr. Zwiers begins with a review of the history of the DSM system, and then reviews changes in the DSM-5, including organization, diagnostic framework, and criterion sets. As well, Dr. Zwiers discusses popular challenges and controversies, and provides information about DSM-5’s relationship to the ICD, as well as the Research Domain Criteria (RDoC) currently championed by NIMH. Participants are encouraged to use this course as a platform to develop a personal learning plan for the DSM-5. - See more at: http://cpa.scholarlab.ca/#sthash.o32KTEHF.dpuf
