Course Description

The training includes critical review of the research related to the MMPI-2-RF and CPI as it relates to police officer hiring. The training includes discussion of research being conducted “in-house” regarding the MMPI-2-RF and CPI as predictors of academy success. Additionally, the training will entail clinical case material, including review of complex pre-employment cases with discussion of MMPI-2-RF and CPI profiles.

Course Objectives

<ol><li>&nbsp;Identify at least three MMPI-2-RF scales predictive of adverse outcomes among police applicants.&nbsp;</li><li>Describe two pros and cons in using police norms.</li><li>Apply research findings to two suitability decisions.</li></ol>
