POST has developed an Oral Interview Question Bank (Bank) to assist law enforcement agencies in meeting the six factors to be assessed in a pre-employment peace officer interview as mandated by POST Regulation 1002(b)(2) (doc). Access to the Bank is limited to law enforcement agencies and personnel departments who have completed a POST Use and Security Agreement and have been assigned a password.

The POST Interviewing Peace Officer Candidates: Hiring Interview Guidelines manual is intended to assist department heads and other oral interview panel members in all phases of the interview process. It contains important information on the rating criteria for evaluating candidates on each of the mandated interview factors. POST strongly recommends reviewing the Guidelines manual prior to initiating the oral interview process and accessing the Bank.

If you do not yet have a password, you may apply for one by completing a Use and Security Agreement.
