POST Library
The purpose of the POST Library is to assist the Commission, POST
staff, and California peace officers in their research efforts to
improve California law enforcement. The POST Library collection
includes titles on law enforcement in California and the United
States, with special emphasis on selection, education and training;
management and administration; and demographics and forecasting.

The online catalog consists of four databases: one for books,
one for journal/magazine articles, one for Command College
projects, and one for Master Instructor Development Program (MIDP) projects.
POST Clearinghouse
The POST Clearinghouse serves as a primary resource for
California peace officers to seek out and exchange information on
any law enforcement topic.

Provides an online bulletin board for California dispatchers and
records supervisors/managers to post questions or concerns, exchange
information, and discuss job-related issues.

Highlights law enforcement agencies with outstanding programs
in a variety of areas, such as community policing, police canines,
and domestic violence.

Provides an online bulletin board for sworn law enforcement officers
to post questions or concerns, exchange information, discuss sensitive
law enforcement issues, access POST’s Calendar of Events,
and the terrorism-related training opportunities.

Provides access to California codes related to law enforcement.
Also includes links to California Attorney General legal opinions,
California courts, California statutes, federal law resources,
law library resources, the Supreme Court docket, and other law
related resources.

Includes links to the California legislature, as well as other resources with
information on state and federal legislation.
Other Law Enforcement Resources
These additional resources provide access to more than 1000
websites of interest to law enforcement. Some of these links connect
pages outside the POST website, and POST is not responsible for
