Technical Help
If you are experiencing problems with the POST website, please check the following self help suggestions.
- Outdated Browser Versions
- This site is best viewed using Microsoft Internet Explorer version 5 and higher or Netscape Navigator or Communicator version 4 with a minimum screen resolution of 800 x 600.
- Beta versions of web browsers are not supported.
- Other browsers such as WebTV are not officially supported but are generally functional with this website.
- Netscape's version 6 web browser is currently not supported due to compatibility issues.
- Web Traffic
- The POST website may be experiencing a lot of traffic. Please be patient and allow complete pages to download before you try clicking any of the links.
- Your Internet Service Provider (ISP)
- Your ISP may be experiencing a problem. See if you encounter the same problem with another site and/or use another computer that connects to the web via a different ISP.
- Your Modem
- Your modem may be too slow to download our web pages, causing the page to timeout before it is completely loaded. An upgraded modem would probably solve this problem.
- Memory
- Though our web pages aren't overly large, some do include graphical elements. It is possible your computer does not have enough memory, and you might want to consider additional memory.
- Printing
- Use landscape mode to print wide pages.
- Use a left and right margin of "0" inches with Netscape 4 in order to "fit to page" without having to print in landscape mode.
If you have comments, suggestions, or questions about the POST website, please contact us at Postmaster@post.ca.gov.
