 TDB Bureau Responsibilities
 
 

The staff of the Training Delivery Bureau consists of the Bureau Chief, ten Regional Managers (Senior Law Enforcement Consultants), two Course Control specialists, a Contract Administrator, and two Bureau Secretaries. The bureau is responsible for the following:

  • Attending Chief, Training Manager, and other client meetings to provide consultation, answer questions, and clarify selection and/or training issues


  • Managing statewide training programs and resolving training issues and/or deficiencies


  • Conducting statewide POST training seminars and curriculum development workshops


  • Reviewing basic academy training programs regularly


  • Processing and approving course certification requests


  • Maintaining quality control of training and presenter information


  • Administering and maintaining training contracts with course presenters


  • Processing Letters of Agreement issued by the bureau to reimburse instructors
    and subject matter experts when they teach or attend curricula development workshops


  • Assisting constituents with training delivery questions. The bureau has a rotating
    “ on-duty consultant” in the office daily who handles questions and situations requiring immediate attention
