| The Course Administrator's Workshop is designed
for law enforcement and non-sworn individuals who manage the administration
of POST-certified training courses. Presented by POST staff, the
workshop offers practical orientation to the responsibilities of
a course administrator, using interactive exercises and adult learning
techniques. The workshop covers the entire certification process,
relevant POST procedures and regulations, and provides necessary
information to establish and administer POST certified courses.
It will cover the paperwork required before, during, and after
a course has been approved, certified and presented.
Workshops are offered in both Northern and Southern California
. While attendees are required to attend the nearest workshop,
the POST Regional Consultant may waive this requirement. The workshop
is set up in 4-8-4 hour days to allow for the first and last day
travel, requiring only two nights of lodging. As the workshop is
not field law enforcement training it is not approved for CPT (continuous
professional training) credit, however travel and per diem reimbursement
are allowed pursuant to POST Letter of Agreement
Due to limited enrollment, each agency may request enrollment
for up to two attendees per session ( If two, please prioritize.)
A request for enrollment is not an automatic admission to the Workshop,
each POST Regional Consultant must approve and prioritize requests
from the Consultant's agencies. To submit a POST Course
Administrator Seminar Request, access the Regional
Training & Compliance Assignments webpage, click on
your region, complete your application and submit it to your
regional consultant.
