Effective July 1, 2002, primary instructors of designated specialized training courses, or instructors appointed on or after July 1, 2002, are required to complete subject-specific instructor training prior to instructing in the concerned course. The designated courses are listed in Commission Regulations 1070 and 1071, POST Administrative Manual. Commission Regulation 1082 specifies the minimum content for the specialized subject instructor courses. Presenters are required to issue certificates of completion to course graduates and to list instructors' specialized training credentials when submitting resumes for course certification.
